Real Estate and Community Information
Rohnert Park is a larger city in Northern California located just 50 miles north of San Francisco. The town has a population of over 40,000 residents as of the 2010 census but with a motto like “The Friendly City,” you can rest assured that the larger population still boasts the small town feel where everyone feels welcome. Any home buyer
would enjoy the abundance of homes for sale at competitive prices throughout the town.
Rohnert Park is one of the youngest towns in California. While it was started in the 1920s when Rohnert Seed and Farm was up and running, bringing jobs and money into the small town. Even though the town was started in the 20s, it was not actually incorporated until 1962. There was only one town incorporated after this in the same county. Incorporation of the town took 30 years because until the freeway was built where the town sits now, there were only four adults living in the perimeters of the town. The addition of the freeway made the town easily accessible to everyone while remaining close to the bigger city of San Francisco making it an ideal location for a popular suburb.
